Our founders believe that parents want to invest in their children’s education. It has been their mission to bring high quality and affordable tuition to homes and high streets across the UK.
The Founding Team
Woody Webster & Malachy Guinness:
Meeting at Oxford, these two young co-founders were quickly brought together by their shared views on education. Although completely different, the two are perfectly complementary, so with Malachy’s mathematical mind and Woody’s unmatched energy, they took a leap of faith into the unknown, and decided to embark on a new business venture in a niche and paramount sector.
Sofia Carlson-Haynes:
Sofia Carlson-Haynes grew up in Finland but moved to London to study for her undergraduate degree. She attended City University and graduated with a first class degree in Sociology with Psychology. Wanting to pursue her passion for gender equality she then went on to study for an MA in Gender, Society and Representation at UCL. From that point she started working in the education sector, managing tutor placements and home schooling arrangements in London.
Sofia is passionate about providing an individually tailored and focused learning experience for students attending The St Albans Tuition Centre. She employs a fantastic team of tutors and managers who together work hard to ensure every child gets the best possible tutoring experience and reaches their potential.

While studying, Jess tutored Biology, Chemistry and Maths at GCSE level, with students achieving a 7 and above in those subjects. Education was a new sector to explore, and Jess was keen to learn and delve into the management-side of education.
